Journey, product and capsules Journey Product Capsule The old terminology
Your portal allows you to create pathways, products, and capsules.
A Pathway is a collection of products. For example, a Marketing 101 pathway could include three products:
- General Concepts
- Google Ads and Facebook Ads
- Mailchimp
A pathway can be added to the catalog, with or without a purchase price.
A pathway can also be assigned to a user or a group of users.
A Product is a training element.
It can be added to the catalog, with or without a purchase price.
It can also be assigned to a user or a group of users.
There are currently four types of products:
- Synchronous Training: A training session scheduled at a specific time, such as a webinar or in-person training.
- Training Module: A training module consists of one or more capsules of different types. For example, a module could include a video, followed by a quiz, and then a virtual class.
- Quiz: A standalone quiz with questions and answers.
- Text: A product containing only text-based content.
Capsules make up a Training Module product.
There are currently six types of capsules:
- Exam: A timed assessment consisting of questions with correct and incorrect answers, scheduled at a specific time.
- Synchronous Training: A scheduled training event, such as a webinar or in-person training.
- Quiz: A simple quiz with questions and answers.
- SCORM: A complete SCORM-based training module.
- Text: A capsule containing only text-based content.
- Video: A video you upload or one available on YouTube or Vimeo.
