Provisioning users and groups via SCIM
This procedure guides you step by step through enabling automatic synchronization of users and groups from Azure Active Directory to your illuxiLMS portal using the SCIM protocol.
Configuration steps in Azure AD
1. Access the enterprise application
- Sign in to the Azure Portal.
- In the left-hand menu, select Azure Active Directory.
- Click Enterprise applications, then New application.
- Click Create your own application, give it a name (e.g., illuxiLMS SCIM), then click Create.
2. Enable provisioning
- On the page for the application you created, go to the Provisioning tab.
- Click Configure automatic provisioning.
- In the SCIM service URL field, enter the URL of the SCIM connector provided by illuxiLMS.
- In Secret token, paste the token provided.
- Click Test connection to validate the integration.
- If the test is successful, click Save.
3. Set synchronization parameters
- In the Provisioning tab, set the provisioning mode to Automatic.
- Click Map Attributes to customize the user fields to be synchronized (optional).
- Save your changes.
4. Assign users and groups
- Go to the Users and Groups tab.
- Click Add User/Group, then select the users or groups to synchronize.
- Click Assign.
5. Start synchronization
- Return to the Provisioning tab.
- Click Start Provisioning.
The initial synchronization may take a few minutes. Once complete, the selected users and groups will automatically appear in your illuxi environment (or other SCIM-compatible platform).
